The idea for Splitflask sprang from a simple daily challenge faced by Cheryl, a NICU nurse who could only bring one drink container to work. This rule meant she often had to choose between her morning coffee and staying hydrated with water throughout her shift. Seeing Cheryl leave behind half-finished Starbucks lattes in her car, her husband realized the waste wasn't just about the coffee; it was about having to choose one essential over another due to workplace rules.

Motivated by Cheryl's situation, he envisioned a practical solution: a flask capable of holding both hot and cold drinks at the same time. This way, Cheryl wouldn't have to sacrifice her coffee for water or vice versa. And so, Splitflask was created—a straightforward yet innovative response to a common problem, aiming to make life a little easier for people like Cheryl who face such small yet significant daily dilemmas.
